Welcome to Civil Online

Currently simple procedure claims can be lodged in paper format or electronically using this online portal.  However the way simple procedure claims can be lodged with the court changes on 1 December 2020.

From 1 December 2020 claims must be completed and submitted electronically using the electronic portal.

Legal firms can transfer simple procedure applications from their internal case management systems directly into Civil Online.  Firms wishing to start using the API, or who have queries regarding its use should contact civilonlinehelp@scotcourts.gov.uk

If you feel you cannot submit your claim electronically, you must seek the approval of the sheriff for the claim to proceed in paper format – click here for more information.
